San Jose State University (SJSU) Ice Hockey was established in fall 1990. Originally a member of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA) from 1991-1997, SJSU now competes in division 2 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The club’s coaching staff includes head coach Phil Hazlewood, as well as assistants Peter Kono and Jimmy Keith. Practices and games are played in the U.S.S. Spartan, formally known as Sharks Ice at San Jose.
