1493_san_jose_state_spartans-alternate-webuc-davis-logo-webOn Friday night the San Jose State Spartans traveled up north to play the UC-Davis Aggies in Vacaville, Ca. San Jose started off the scoring early and they started off strong. Less than halfway through the first period the Spartans scored a pair of goals less than a minute apart. Four minutes later SJSU managed to do it again and carried the lead into the intermission with the score being 4-0.

SJSU added injury to insult when they opened the second period with the foot still on the gas peddle. They quickly scored a pair of goals by captain Christian Rendino and found themselves leading 6-0 only six minutes into the second period. The Aggies would retaliate with their lone goal of the contest but the rally would be short lived and the goal would prove to be meaningless. With less than a minute left  Dino scored his third goal of the period capping off his hat-trick for the evening.

The third period would prove to be much of the same. SJSU scored a pair of unanswered goals and found themselves skating away with a 9-1 victory. The win was much needed and was considered a must have. The Spartans will travel home and prepare for a three game home-stand the following weekend.
